Addiction Recovery Coaching
You Are Not Alone
As a former pastor and addict, I understand where you are and where you want to go. I know what it’s like to wake up and swear I won’t touch the stuff today, and be drinking by lunch.
I’ve gone through rehab, counseling, and a lot of support group meetings. I lived a double life, but today I am free of the addictions and am able to help others succeed in their recovery.
While our experiences are not the same, our addiction draws us together. I work with individuals where they are at, not where the world tells them they need to be.
Whether you are just starting the recovery journey or are miles down the road, recovery coaching can help.
Define Recovery On Your Terms
Recapture Your Life provides one-on-one addiction recovery coaching and family support coaching to help you connect the dots between where you are and where you want to be.
Coaching is not about repairing the past. Coaching starts where you are and helps you develop a plan to go forward without your addiction. Whether that plan includes a twelve-step group, medically assisted treatment, or any number of options, recovery coaching can help you find a strategy that works for you.
With an unbiased coach who listens to what you are saying, asks questions you may not have thought of, and gives you positive feedback, you can reach your full potential on your terms.

Common Questions About Coaching
Many people mistake coaching with counseling or therapy. Coaching differs from both because the coaching relationship is cocreative, meaning we are equal. Coaching does not last for years, like therapy. What we want to do is help you develop a plan to curb your addiction on your terms. This plan may include therapy or counseling, but this will be your plan, not one that I lay out for you.

Addiction Recovery Coaching starts where you are and looks to the future. It works because it is not about repairing the past, that is therapy, but by starting with you and what you want to accomplish in your recovery.
Therapy and counseling are about the past and how it affects you today. Coaching is about listening and responding rather than fixing. You have the answers in you, coaching helps draw them out.
The best way to understand what coaching is like is to experience a free session. That being said, a session last around an hour. Either You will call me or I will initiate a Zoom meeting.
We start with the questions, "What would you like to talk about today?" and "What do you want to take away from this session?" You set the agenda. I listen and ask clarifying questions to help you draw out the answers that are already in you.
A coaching program can last anywhere from one session to a year. It all depends on what you want to accomplish and how long you want to be coached. Typically, people spend three to six months in weekly coaching, but a year or more in monthly check-ins.
Coaching is very affordable. One session is $60, and a month is $198.
