Again, welcome to Recapture Your Life Coaching.
I am truly honored you have chosen to work with me as your coach. Thank you for putting your trust and confidence in me.
This is a Co-Creative relationship, meaning that we are equals and both have an active role. I am not a therapist, counselor or consultant. I am a certified coach using honed communication skills to support you as a detached thinking partner. Together, we create more power for you to effect meaningful change and take dynamic actions towards your goals.
Your Role As Client
Please take time before each session to answer these two questions, “What do I want to discuss today,” and “What do I want to take away from this session?”. The most crucial part is for you to name what you'd like to take away from the session. This is called the "Client Agenda".
Please arrive to every session on time.
Come to your session centered and ready to engage.
Give me feedback in the moment about your coaching experience -- what works, as well as what does not.
My Role As Coach
I will listen closely to you, respond to what I hear, and ask questions. If I hear something in your voice or language that sparks an intuitive thought, I may interrupt to ask you about it. Often, it is the small moments that bring about BIG shifts. If I'm not on target, just tell me. I'm not attached to being right.
In adherence to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics, all of our conversations are confidential. I may ask for your permission to record a session for my credentialing or training purposes and will only proceed with your written permission.
At the end of the session, if you do not mention what actions you are ready to take, I will make a coach request. I ask clients to stretch themselves, deepen the work done in the sessions by writing, taking some action, resolving relationships or things that feel incomplete. You are free to negotiate, accept, or decline. Please remember, I am not a licensed counselor or therapist. You are responsible for your own feelings and actions. Coaching is about looking forward, not trying to fix our past.
How We Meet For Sessions
You may choose the time that works for you for our session time by scheduling with the link you receive after payment, or we can set a time that works for you. This will be your weekly time until you alter it.
We meet by phone or Zoom, whichever is more convenient for you.
If you choose to meet by phone, you will initiate the session by calling me at 904-444-0186
If you choose to meet by Zoom I will send a Zoom link for the time of the session.
If you log on to Zoom and I am not on, please give me one minute. If you call in and get my voicemail, please call back after one full minute, as I might be finishing up a call with another client.
Please do not leave a message and wait for me to call you back. I might not receive your message between clients.
Time Between Sessions
Between sessions, if you have questions, a brief update, or want to bounce some ideas around, please contact me by phone or email. Please keep these contacts brief and to the point. I typically respond by the next business day
As my client, you will be given access to articles, resources, and tools, some of which might be custom made for you. Feel free to use these resources as you like.
I can also connect you with other coaches and professionals at your request. All services with other professionals are contracted seperatly by you.
How To Get The Most From Your Coaching Experience
Make our coaching sessions a priority. Come to every call with a specific agenda – a clear understanding of what you’d like to take away from the session.
Do your homework between sessions. Use what you learn. Complete what you agree to do. I promise to work hard as your coach, but I will not work harder than you do.
Be open-minded. Try new approaches. Experiment.
Be willing to change your beliefs and patterns if they do not serve you anymore. Many times we have to find what doesn't work in order to find what does

SCHEDULE CHANGES/VACATION/BUSINESS TRIPS
Please give our sessions a high priority and arrange your schedule to honor our appointment. If you must reschedule, please give me 24 hours notice by using the Change/cancel link on the email you receive when scheduling, or by contacting me directly. In any case please let me know as soon as you are able. I rarely reschedule no calls or no shows, nor do I offer refunds to missed appointments.
On the rare occasion an actual emergency arises for either of us, we will reschedule that session as quickly as possible.
If something must change temporarily or permanently, I will be happy to work that out with you.
I’m looking forward to the magic in our coaching relationship!
